One Silly Afternoon

This is our last vacation post sadly.  Thank you to Trish for adding to my repertoire of photos.  Without hers, I would not have been able to capture our days as closely. These are some silly photos of some lazy afternoons at our Eastham rental.

Bonfire

We met at the beach at 8PM--already past the kids bed time, but willing to take the risk to have a night at the beach with good friends. The night was a blast until a rogue wave came up and terrified Finn.  He shook with fright and didn't stop shaking until we climbed back into our car. The evening was still fabulous and it will be a great story to retell when he's older.

Nothing beats a bonfire with friends and s'mores! It was the perfect vacation night.

Finny's Favorite

On the one cooler day we had during our vacation we rented bikes.  After some juggling to determine how to get everyone on bikes, we headed out for a 7 mile ride.  Finn definitely had the best time of anyone--he squealed with delight almost the whole trip.  We definitely think he's close to being ready for a big boy bike after this adventure.

Excitement on the Cape

While we were on the Cape.  Lexi went from this....

Her first tooth lost.  All in all it was an easy transition from loose to it's out.  The story even included Dad emailing the tooth fairy to let the tooth fairy know that Lexi was on the Cape.  Lexi is already excited for her next one to come out.  She claims she has  three other loose teeth already.

Cape Beaches

 

Great Pond, Wylie, First Encounter, Cooks Brooke--these were some of the many beaches we discovered and enjoyed during our Cape visit. They were a great mix between ponds, ocean and bay side beaches. We can't wait to go back next year! Above are stones and shells that Bea and Lexi gathered during one of our beach visits to create the heart collage.
