Spring is Coming!

I wanted to share a couple shots I took when the weather started to turn and we were able to venture out to one of the local parks.

P.S. I learn randomly that I do actually have some blog readers out there.  I don't use tracking software, so for those of you who do read occasionally, please leave a comment every now and then so I know you are there.

First Hair Cut

I had to grab the 'ol point and shoot for Heath's first hair cut.  Just couldn't balance having all three kids and the bigger camera. Heath weighs in around 30lbs now so carrying him around is enough!  Anyway, you'll note that at first Heath wasn't so sure about losing his locks, but he warmed up to actually being able to see pretty quickly.  No matter what we tell them when we take the boys to get cuts, they always seem to look like bowl cuts.  If anyone has any pointers, let me know!

Pre-haircut picture to remind you just how long it was!

The day after.  Looking like a big kid! Heath at almost 15 months.

Team Samantha

We've been lucky enough to share many fun times with Samantha.  Both Lexi and Finn and equally as excited to see her every glimpse they get. She's exactly 1 year and 1 day older than Heath, which puts her about 9 months younger than Finn.

We celebrated Easter with her and here are some photos from the day, along with some other recent play dates.

Maple Sunday

Once a year in Maine there's something called Maple Sunday where all things maple are celebrated.  Maple farms and refineries (is that what they're called?) open their doors to the public for a day of maple celebration.  Many of you know that Patrick feels that maple makes the world do round, so he was delighted for the chance to participate in the festivities.

We joined our friends Paul, Lynn and Abby for Maple Sunday this year.  We proved to be wimpy Mainers (it was 40 degrees or so), but we enjoyed it as much as we could. Maple Sunday included, ice cream with maple syrup topping (this was for breakfast), waiting in line for 30 minutes in the cold (and eating outside too) for a scrumptious all things maple breakfast, including maple sausage, pancakes with syrup and beans and maple. You could also purchase syrup and maple candies as parting gifts.  We did not leave empty handed or with empty bellies, but we were chilled to the bone.

A glimpse at the festivities.

Eating ice cream with maple syrup despite freezing!

Cute Abby! She didn't seem to notice is was even cold!

Characters

Almost a month has gone by again since my last post.  Time slips away.  Well - as many of you have heard - I am finally putting a close to my time with Abbott.  More on that in another post, but I am not making any quick decisions on what's next and want to make sure it's the best move for our family as a whole.  In the short term, I am looking forward to spending some more time with the kiddos.

That brings me to this post - Characters.  Everyone's kids have cute quirky personalities and I wanted to share with you some recent photos I thought truly captured some of our personalities.

Finny in his new favorite hat. He's just irresistible when he wears it! (It's possible that he knows what that middle finger is doing.  Not sure.)

Cool guy look

Finn playing with a drill and pretending to be just like dad...

It wasn't me. I would never do that!

If I could just open this door.

I don't really want to walk.  Why are you making me do this?

I am super happy when I get what I want.  Even if my hair is long and I can't see!

Heath could make a sport out of swinging.

Why can't I have gum? PS - this is post a very bad first hair cut, but now he can see!

A lover at heart.
